I have a snapscan (scansnap?) scanner, and it shoots stuff right into evernote (defaults to an 'inbox' notebook). It's not expensive, and it's very cross platform. Lists-I bounced around initially, but I have settled on Evernote. Not a replacement for a to do list!! Not super cross platform but it's rare for me to be phone free. I use these sparingly because I tend to ignore them. these don't show up in win7 (except in in chrome), but they come up on my phone and there's also geo-fencing. So notes is my on the go inbox.įor reminders, I use OSX/iOS reminders. It makes a note! I love that because I'm a Norm fan and I enjoy doing the 'note to self' thing. Notes is great because Siri will make a note if I do a Norm MacDonald "note to self.". Pagico looks really, really nice although it seems more focused on project management. I know there are a few people working on apps in this area though but who knows when they'll be released. While there's been a fair bit of innovation in calendaring apps - especially on iOS - the total package type of apps are really underserved. (A big deal if you are using it with a phone) However honestly Daylight is the best choice on the platform at the moment. When I did look at it 2 years ago I found its UI to be too cluttered/confusing and I didn't like the indirect way it synced with the normal Apple data stores.
